Common Print Questions

What substrates do you print on?

We specialize in printing on fabrics specially developed for interior and exterior flag and banner use, however, our broad supplier resources allow us to offer practically any conceivable product related to textile branding and digital imaging.

What printing processes do you use?

Our in-house manufacturing processes include direct digital printing, dye sublimation printing, and other methods commonly associated with textile graphics. We also offer screen printed flags and banners for larger quantities.

What are your size and colour limitations?

Within reason, there aren’t any! Our equipment will print up to 10 feet wide by unlimited length. We have the experience and capabilities to construct anything larger. Our digital printers use CMYK inks, we are very familiar with Pantone colour matching methods for fabric.

Do you have a minimum quantity for custom orders?

No, digital printing technology allows us to print a single piece.

Can you finish to my exact specifications?

Yes. If you provide details on how you plan to display/attach your fabric graphic, we will provide the best solution.

How long should a flag last?

The normal life expectancy of an outdoor flag is approximately 3 – 6 months, depending on the season and geographic area. Generally speaking, a flag will start to fray before the colours begin to fade. If a banner is secured so that it is not flapping in the wind (i.e. attached to arms on the top and bottom), you can usually expect a longer lifespan.

How big should a flag be in relation to the flagpole height?

As a general rule of thumb, the length of a horizontal flag should be about a 1/4 of the height of the flag pole. Vertical flags are normally taller, sometimes as much as 3/4 of the height of the pole.
